Hardware Setup
Before you begin, you may find it helpful to have a box cutter, utility knife, or screwdriver available for opening packaging and removing packing materials.
Microphone and Boom Arm Setup
1. Unpack the microphone and boom arm
Open the microphone and boom arm packages. Set the microphone and its included USB cable aside for now.

2. Attach the desk mount
Attach the boom arm mount to a side edge of your desk as shown. Turn the handle counter-clockwise to open the clamp, position it on your desk, then turn the handle clockwise until the mount is secure.
Mounting to the front of your desk can also work, as long as the mount is slightly off to the side and does not get in your way.
A firm tightening pressure is enough. It is normal to hear a popping or creaking sound as the clamp tightens.

3. Loosen the hinge screw
Before attaching the boom arm to the mount, use the large hex key to loosen the hinge screw by approximately one turn. For additional leverage, you may find it easier to insert the short end of the hex key into the screw.
Fold the upper arm section into the position shown, then re-tighten the hinge screw.

5. Route the cable through the upper arm
Remove the upper cable cover and place the USB-C end of the microphone cable into the cable channel.
Leave approximately 8 inches, or 20 cm, of cable extending beyond the end of the boom arm for connection to the microphone. This does not need to be exact; the cable can easily be adjusted later. Replace the upper cable cover once done.

6. Route the cable through the lower arm
Rotate the upper arm 180 degrees so it is positioned over the lower arm as shown. Remove the lower cable cover and continue routing the cable through the lower section of the boom arm as shown. Replace the lower cable cover once done.

7. Insert the boom arm into the desk mount
Use the small hex key to loosen the retaining screw by approximately one turn.
Insert the base of the boom arm into the desk mount, then tighten the retaining screw until the boom arm remains securely attached when lifted.
When using the small hex key, you may need to angle it slightly when removing it.

9. Attach the ball-joint mount
Loosen the microphone ball-joint mount until the ball is able to be removed as shown.
Once the ball is fully seated, tighten the mount until secure. It is normal for the ball to slip out during this process; simply make sure it is fully seated before tightening.

10. Attach the microphone
Attach the microphone to the ball-joint mount by screwing it on clockwise.
To rotate the microphone to your desired orientation, rotate it clockwise. This allows the ball joint to rotate instead of simply loosening the microphone from its mount.
Use the microphone's hinge to make any final adjustments. The exact angle is not critical; the front of the microphone should generally face the person speaking.
For best results, position the microphone approximately 4–8 inches, or 10–20 cm, from your mouth [and speak across the front of the microphone rather than directly into it] (THIS IS IMPORTANT BUT IT SHOULD BE SAID ON A DIFFERENT STEP).

13. Connect the microphone
Once the microphone is positioned as desired, connect the USB-C end of the cable to the microphone.

Headphones Setup
14. Remove the headphone adapter
Remove the headphones from their packaging.
The headphones include a removable 1/4-inch, or 6.35 mm, studio audio adapter attached to the end of the cable. Remove the adapter to reveal the standard 3.5 mm headphone connector, then plug it into your computer.
